Barker Minerals Ltd. was founded in 1993, since then the Company has invested more than $10.0 million exploring in this previously unrecognized highly mineralized district. The properties are located along the southern extension of the historic Cariboo Placer Gold District in East-Central British Columbia, Canada. The 100% owned claim group consists of over 300,000 acres.

Significant magmatic activity from the Devonian to Permian time has produced some of the world's largest and richest mineral districts on earth such as in the Iberian Pyrite Belt in Spain/Portugal, the Ural Mountains in Russia and the Tian Shen belt in China. Similar aged magmatic activity has been identified on Barker's properties which have demonstrated district size potential to host not only volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits, but gold, platinum group metal (PGM), nickel/copper, copper/gold and diamond deposits. The mineralization and economic potential is considered by the Geological Survey of Canada, the B.C. Geological Survey, Independent Consultants and Major Mining Companies to be similar to other important mining districts from around the world.

Recent detailed airborne magnetic, radiometric and EM surveys conducted by the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) confirm the high economic potential of the region by successfully identifying known mineralized areas, as well as identifying many new potential economic targets.

Barker has been built by professional dedicated management around the "Discovery Process" through systematically and methodically advancing projects from the grassroots stage to the exploration drill stage. Potentially important discoveries have been made at the Frank Creek (VMS), Kangaroo (Gold) and Tasse projects (Positive Diamond Indicators). These discoveries are at the important stage where the successful proving up of an economic deposit could be very rewarding to Barker and its shareholders.
