Barker Minerals Reports on Annual General Meeting
Prince George, B.C., December 2, 2009 -- Barker Minerals Ltd. ("BML" on TSX/V) (the "Company") is pleased to report the results of it's Annual General Meeting ("AGM") held on November 27, 2009 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
A total of 68,021,210 common shares, equal to more than 60% of the 113,854,183 issued and outstanding shares were represented at the AGM. All of the resolutions set out in the Notice of Meeting were passed, with >99% voting by proxy in favour of the re-appointment of the Company's auditor and the election of the seven directors nominated by management. More than 97% voted in favour of the re-pricing of options and amendments to the Option Plan of which insiders were excluded from voting.
Following the formal business of the meeting, President/CEO Louis Doyle gave an informative and well received presentation outlining the Company's past activities and its plans going forward. The presentation highlighted the significant results of a recently released Government airborne survey which covered a large portion of Barker's >350,000 acre 100% owned project areas.

Barker Minerals is advancing exploration on its mineral properties in the Cariboo Gold District, one of the most mineralized belts in British Columbia. The Company has 26 projects on its exploration properties, all of which are 100% owned by Barker Minerals. Eight projects have drill-ready gold and/or massive sulphide targets with permits in place for 4 projects with planned programs for 2009 as financing conditions permit. Programs are also planned to further the significant discoveries of mineralization on the Company's Frank Creek VMS and Kangaroo Gold projects.
